Film Concept Proposals
CORE CONCEPT
Most food today is rushed. People eat quickly. Ingredients are mass-produced. Cooking is about efficiency. But Orwells rejects that mindset.
At Orwells, time is an ingredient. It’s in every dish, every decision, every moment spent perfecting flavor.
This film captures that patience, dedication, and artistry—a story told through visuals, texture, and emotion.

Both films are structured as a full cinematic short film, designed to be naturally broken into 4 standalone short-form pieces for social media.
#1
“Time Tastes Different at orwells”
Act 1: "Most food is fast. Ours is worth waiting for"
Fast-cut shots of rushed food culture (microwaves, fast food, plating in a hurry). A sudden shift: slow hands slicing fresh vegetables from Orwells' own garden.
Liam: "People want food fast. But real flavor takes its time."
Act 2: "Would you wait for the perfect meal?"
Slow, meditative shots: broth simmering, dough resting, honey dripping fresh from the comb, wild deer being carefully butchered.
Ryan: "We don’t just cook. We grow. We wait. We let nature lead the way."
Act 3: "The difference between good and unforgettable? Time"
Close-ups of precision: aged cheese crumbling, fish filleted, stock reducing, bread coming fresh from their own ovens.
Liam: "Most kitchens start with ingredients from anywhere. Ours start with what we grow, what we source, what we know."
Act 4: "Time tastes different at Orwells"
A final dish plated and served in silence. A long pause.
Ryan: "Every plate is a story of time—of the land, the seasons, and the hands that made it."
#2
“A Restaurant of Two”
Act 1: "A Restaurant of Two”
Ryan & Liam introduce themselves on camera.
Ryan: "It's just us. Every plate, every dish, every service—two chefs, one restaurant."
Cuts between them in the kitchen and relaxed moments together, showing their bond.
Act 2: "It’s Not About Stress, It’s About Control."
A counter to the traditional ‘high-pressure’ kitchen stereotype. Liam & Ryan discuss how they keep the kitchen calm and organised. Scenes of them working seamlessly together, joking, plating with focus.
Act 3: "We Grow, We Source, We Create"
A focus on their farm-to-table philosophy. Ryan & Liam talk about their ingredients, with footage of their garden, beehives, sourdough, and fresh fish or venison deliveries.
Act 4: "This Is Orwells"
The final moment—Liam & Ryan stepping back to appreciate their work. A final plated dish, served with a quiet moment of pride.
Liam: "It’s just the two of us. And that’s exactly how we want it."
short form content
This project is structured so that the short-form content feels intentional—not like an off-cut from a longer film. Each of the four short videos is organised with a clear hook, body, and closure to create maximum impact.
Rather than simply trimming the main video, these shorts will stand on their own while seamlessly fitting into the full story.
